There are currently a number of flash decompilers available which can reverse-compile .swf files, turning them into .fla files, complete with classes and functions more or less in-tact. In order to safeguard trade secrets (without needing to guarantee it) it would be truly grand if one of you Adobe brainiacs could create a post-production obfuscation routine, so that reverse compiling, if done to a swf file, at least produces something that is extremely difficult to comprehend.
There are companies out there making obfuscation products, but they're poorly made, and the results are often buggy. So far, they only work with AS2.
I think it would enhance the attractiveness of making serious, enterprise-level software on this platform if there was a high level obfuscation option.
