If FlexBuilder supported code and comment Templates the way the Eclipse Java editor does, that would be idea.
templates would work but snippets (ala cfecplise ) would even be better!
This would be incredibly useful for teams of developers too.
Agreed. Templating and snippets are a real gain for any development team, and is one of the only remaining key features that separates Flex Builder and FDT.
It would be nice to have directives like ${className}, ${package}, etc. This way they could be selected when you create a new file.
I see this as a crucial feature and can't figure out why it was removed.
Flexbuilder 1.5 had it. Flexbuilder 1.5 came with a ~$15K price tag though. I have wasted at least 6 hours trying to find workarounds to get this functionality for flex development. Please bring this feature back. It really makes quite a difference for people who work with frameworks like PureMVC. As already mentioned, it's one of the few things giving FDT the edge over Flex Builder.
Code templates are really needed. <I hate the opening curly brace to be placed on the next line>
