Flash Player

Please make Flash Player work in Linux Fedora for Power PC MAC G3 G4 G5 chip

Created: 09/16/08 09:30 AM   Updated: 09/16/08 09:48 AM
Component/s: Video Playback
Security Level: Public (All JIRA Users )

Severity: Non Functioning
Reproducibility: Every Time
Discoverability: High
Found in Version: Flash Player 10 - 10_0_2_26
Affected OS(s): Linux - All Linux
Injection: Yes
Steps to Reproduce:
Go to Youtube.com with Firefox 3.01 on Fedora Red Hat version 9
You get a message you need to install flash player. The only one available under YUM Linux selection is for
the I383 PC Intel chip not for the Power PC MAC chip (G3/4/5)
 Actual Results:

Can not watch you tube. Error message saying you must install flash player.

Expected Results: Youtube should work. This works on the PC Intel Chip installing Ubuntu, Redhad, Centos, Mandriva
etc.

Workaround (if any): It still does not work, but I have tried the gnash-plugin and the swfdec-mozilla plugin. The youtube
videos come up but they do not play and you can not see the controls for them, ie.. play stop etc. For details see:
